Went dress shopping in Kirkcaldy yesterday and had an excellent experience at Special Days in Kirkcaldy. The ladies there were fab! Myself and one of my bridesmaids had been to Dunfermline and had a bit of a negative experience so were a bit deflated when we headed to Kirkcaldy. The ladies could not have been more helpful, If we had wanted to try every dress in the shop, which we almost did, then they would have bent over backwards for us.
Any brides in the Fife area, definatly give them a visit!
I too have been there as my friend was looking for a wedding dress and they were so nice, we had such a laugh with them.
I mentioned that i was getting married next year and being bigger than your average size i was a bit apprehensive about going into bridal shops as you always get the feeling that if you are a bit on the plumper side then you shouldn’t be wearing a beautiful dress, well they were shocked that anybody could feel like this and went into extra helpful mode showing me dresses that would flatter and also what not to wear, which was so helpful and it actually made me look forward to it when the time comes.

I ordered my dress from Special Days back in March, they were so helpful even though my situtaion made things quite difficult! I’m originally from Fife and am getting married there next summer but my and H2B live on the island of Malta, so I planned some dress shopping trips for during our last trip home.
The staff at Special Days basically went through every dress they had asking what I liked about each and what I didn’t like until we had narrowed it down to about 6. They even let me take a picture of my favourite when they normally don’t since my Mum was in Malta and couldn’t come shopping with me.
I ordered it there and then. It arrived after only 6 weeks and called me here in Malta to tell me. So I hopped on a plane and went home for the weekend to collect it (with my Mum this time!) I tried on some really lovely dresses there but went for my Phil Collins in the end. And the service has been fab too…no hard sell I was told NOT to decide that day but to wait but it was the one!
The staff in the shop were great, not at all pushy and helped me and my bridesmaids choose dresses that were perfect, without any fussing.
I found the experience great, very friendly and made you feel great, not pushy at all, full of helpfull advice and couldn’t do enough to help, reccommended to all brides to be in the area!!!
